Catch Magazine Goes Back to South America

Brian toured southern Argentina (Estancia Laguna Verde Lodge - Srobel/Jurassic Lake) and then went over the Andes on dirt roads to fish 10 rivers in southern Chile. There was a fun event in Puerto Varas with videos and a great crowd. Add wilderness rivers, big browns and great guides and you have an upcoming series on Chile/Patagonia.

ISSUE #24 IS LIVE

They say variety is the spice of life and Issue #24 is pretty spicy! In fact, there is a big photo essay by Jim Klug about fly fishing opportunities all over the world that shows a variety of species and the interesting places they live. We are also showing great photography from the Carolinas and their redfish flats, plus Bahamas panoramas, Argentina trout, the Congo and big tigerfish, more Baja roosterfish, a killer video by Todd Moen on the brown drakes of the Upper Columbia River in Washington State and some very creative and exciting photography from Alaska bush pilot, Steve Laurent. That is a great line up. Check it out at www.catchmagazine.net.

SURPRISE VISIT

While working on the next issue, August 1, 2012, a cloud of dust came up the driveway and two fly angler road-trippers popped out. On the left, RA Beattie - film maker and Tom Bie - Drake Magazine. They were cruising, and I mean cruising in style in a 25 foot long, huge hunk of V8 American steel. Aka, gas guzzler! Room for eight, comfortably. Sweet rod rack. They were heading to the Deschutes River, good luck guys.
